Research Triangle Park, N.C., April 19, 2011 - Novella Clinical, Inc., a full service contract research organization, today announced Richard (Rick) Farris has been named senior director for project management. Farris will be responsible for further enhancing Novella’s project management infrastructure, streamlining study management and oversight, and supplementing new business development within Novella’s biopharmaceutical division.
“Rick’s dynamic operations experience combined with his ability to foster client relationships further builds upon Novella’s biopharma service offerings,” said Novella Clinical Executive Vice President, Clinical Operations, Krystyna Kowalczyk.
Farris most recently served as chief operations officer for Health Decisions, a North Carolina-based CRO, where he led strategic planning, operational oversight and new business development for more than 10 years.
Novella also announced the promotion of Michael (Mike) Doyle to global head of regulatory affairs. Doyle has 16 years experience in pharmaceutical research and development, holds a Ph.D. in physiology from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and is experienced in the preparation and submission of regulatory packages to agencies in the U.S, Canada and Europe. Doyle will oversee all Novella regulatory services.
