Hi I’m Bjorg Petursdottir (Peter’s daughter), and although the name does resemble that of the famous Icelandic singer (Bjork) I am proud to say that I am slightly more normal.
Having grown up in Iceland, I realized the cold island in the north wasn’t quite big enough for me and therefore decided to explore the world a bit more. After having tried 5 different countries in 2 different continents I finally settled down in the UK in late 2000.
I’ve had the pleasure of being involved with Clinical Research for over 5 years now, spending my first 3 years in Business Development where I had the opportunity to work with clients in various different countries and am grateful for the chance to practice my 6 languages.
When I was offered to join the resourcing department at Matrix in September 2006 I jumped at the opportunity as it allowed me to do my two favor things, talk to people (all day long) and make them happy (when I find them their perfect job), the added benefit was that I was to be paid for it as well.
In my spare time, when my partner Rob isn’t cooking me another gourmet meal, I dream about all the other countries I have still to visit and the day that I will.
